Proud Parents!

Andrew earned his Life Scout rank in Boy Scouts! Next step is EAGLE!

Andrew,  pinning my Life Scout mom pin on me.

It really was Andrew's night!  He was also the Master of Ceremonies and ran the whole event!  This was a requirement for the Communications merit badge that he needs to earn Eagle Scout.  He also received 4 more merit badges that evening for previous work he has done.  They were Personal Fitness, First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, and Climbing.

He did a great job as MC!  Loud and clear!

Part of the MC duties included setting up the awards/ranks and creating the program for the ceremony

We are so proud of him!!!

London Encore!

Sooooo ... blessed and fortunate girls that we are -- we got to go on another trip to our favorite big European city!  This time it was to accompany our good friends, Lisa and Isabella, to Isabella's audition for the West End play, To Kill A Mockingbird.  But, the audition got cancelled at the last minute, so we just got to have fun!  We had room to spare on the flight, so we spread out and munched away.

Sara and Isabella

Me and Lisa

Lisa and I had gourmet snacks and, of course -- Prosecco!
Going to London as often as we have, it's evolved into something else.  It's no longer about touristy sights and photo ops at the famous spots -- now it's about enjoying the shows and the shopping and just enjoying being in the city.

We still had to take the obligatory red phone booth shot!

Got to see Wicked for the second time -- still amazing!

In our good seats at Wicked

Portobello Road -- cute, colorful shopping street in the old Notting Hill neighborhood

Lots of vintage clothing and antique shops

The girls had a great time shopping!

There are some LONG escalators to and from the "Tube"

Sweet, friendly doorman at Hamley's Toy Store -- I want his job!

TEDDY HEAVEN!!!

Silly girls -- HUGE camel!

Awesome Lego statues of the Royal Family

Had to show Princess Kate's dress details

Sara even bowed to the Queen!

We love using London cabs, but we weren't lucky enough to catch this one!

Tea time dahhhhlling -- at the Wolseley!  Pinkies up!

Me and my favorite girl!

STOMP was a fun surprise!  So GREAT and so FUNNY!

We also went to see the musical Shrek before it closes for good in London at the end of the month.  I forgot to take the girls' picture in front of the theater, darn it!  I wasn't excited about this one at first.  I figured I would be disappointed, but it was also surprisingly good!  The effects were so well done, it almost looked like the cartoon.

We had such a wonderful trip with our girlfriends -- one we will never forget!

P.S. for those who are wondering how the boys fared -- they watched guy movies like The Stooges and Ironman all weekend.  They also ate all the junkfood they could get their hands on!  Life was good for them too!  When we got back, Andrew asked when we were leaving again!  Jeesh!
