Ladies Night

What do you get when you put 12 girlfriends in a room (that we didn't have to clean) with delicious homecooked Italian food (that we didn't have to cook) and LOTS of wine and prosecco? Is "trouble" your first answer? Ha! No trouble, just fun!

First houseguests!

A.K.A. Guinea Pigs!!! Our dear friends Su and Don Schultz have the distinction of being our first houseguests here in Italy! Both Su and Don are attorneys, and Su is retired AF and was Bryan's boss from his second assignment, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They stayed for 2 nights and survived us pretty well. They were here at the beginning of their 2 week tour of Italy.

Compared to the rest of Italy, Aviano is pretty dull, but we did show them a few of the natural sights around here, and we took them to a couple of our favorite restaurants. And of course, we introduced them to the joys of the local Italian wines and cheeses.

Here are Bryan and the kids with Aunt Su and Uncle Don at the mountain spring in Gorgazzo, just down the road from our house.


We also took them on a driving tour of the Dolomite mountains around Lake Barcis.



We had a great time and the visit was way too short for all that lawyer talk, but we're so glad they came! And now they are even famous faces on my blog!!!
